Industreweb Collect Runtime employs a Connector architecture to create pluggable interfaces to a broad range of protocols and devices. Each Connectors uses a common standard to Read, Writing and Running Functions on the end device or data source so that data is handles in a common way across all Connectors irrespective of what its connected to.

Since Connectors follow this standard format new Connectors can easily be developed and "plugged" into the architecture so that any number of a new type of device can be communicated with. This means that every Industreweb box is future proofed
